>ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. â€" The boarded-up space surrounding Sears at Coronado Center has for months teased â€œexciting new retailers coming soon,â€ and we now know a few more names.

In addition to The Container Store, which mall management confirmed in September was opening a store, a spokeswoman for Coronadoâ€™s ownership has revealed other new-to-market future tenants that include Aerie, Anthem and White Barn.

Aerie is a lingerie/loungewear brand and part of the American Eagle Outfitters company. Anthem is a shoe retailer. White Barn is a home fragrance store affiliated with Bath & Body Works.

The Container Store is expected to open in May, but itâ€™s unclear about the rest.

The spokeswoman told the Journal additional announcements are forthcoming about new tenants scheduled to arrive in 2017.

Coronado has about 100,000 square feet to redevelop since Sears decided to downsize its mall presence. (The department store hosted a grand reopening of its smaller-footprint store last weekend.)

The Searsâ€™ leftovers will also house new stores from some existing mall retailers, including Pandora, Sunglass Hut and Lids, the spokeswoman said.

In unit terms, bra sales are 1596m units per year

- The future of distribution lies in organised retail. The dis-organised markets in the developing world are being eroded. That means for a brand being stocked in well-known retailers and for a retailer having either own brands or manufacturer brands that are trusted. The decisions on what to stock, either going forwards up the supply chain, of backwards down it, is one of the most important decisions to be made in this business

- The world briefs market is quantified in US$ billions value for 2016 at US$9.90bn. This represents 33.5% of the total lingerie market. In unit terms, briefs sales are 5260m units per year

Miami â€" Â Apart from defining and highlighting the feminine form with sheerness and lace, lingerie over the past century-and-a-half has reflected the social progress of women, who are now much more independent and self-confident.

The "French Lingerie" exhibition starting Wednesday in Miami Beach will feature hundreds of ladies' undergarments, providing evidence that once liberated, literally, from the corsets that constrained them up until the 20th century, women are now using undergarments as an end in themselves and in unanticipated ways.

Up until the late 1980s, women generally selected their lingerie to please their partners, but since then they have grown in self-confidence, acquiring their own autonomy and selecting their lingerie for themselves, the curator of the exposition, Catherine Ormen, told EFE.

During a tour of the exhibit, with pieces ranging from burlesque to minimalist and made of modern fabrics along with the classic cotton and satin, the French fashion historian said that the advances in lingerie doubtless are a reflection of women's "emancipation."

Through the evolving styles of women's undergarments, the exhibition reveals that - quite apart from their original function of providing covering and better hygiene - women are now taking advantage of lingerie to model their figures, but above all to reaffirm them.

Ormen says that the exhibit - which is being held simultaneously with the huge Art Basel Miami Beach art fair opening on Thursday - is a mirror of the "history of femininity," especially the changes in women's morphology and image.

"French Lingerie" will run until Dec. 6 in the public spaces of the Sagamore Hotel, one of the pearls of Miami Beach's Art Deco district, and Ormen went into the archives of 11 prestigious French lingerie brands such as Aubade, Barbara and Lou to select the "treasures" on display.

Along with corsets, brassieres, bodices, garters, thongs and panties, the exposition also features works of art in seduction and eroticism by contemporary artists, including French comic artist Annie Goetzinger, drawings by Margot Van Huijkelon of The Netherlands and Japanese fashion photographs by Yoichiro Sato, among others.
