Meet Florentyna, 22 from Chester. After studying film and theater studies at Bath Spa University, she moved back home with her parents and started to work on her business, Florentyna.
While working in sales and marketing after university she was very aware she was "creating someone else's dream" not her own! Florentyna has always been very creative and particularly visual, and "a fear of failure" drove her to want to start her own business.
She has always loved lingerie and felt very passionately about empowering women to feel confident and sexy, no matter your size or shape. After feeling disheartened seeing frumpy, unflattering and particularly beige lingerie lines within the market, she felt uninspired and so set about creating Florentyna.
Florentyna currently focuses on a collection of peignoirs with a flavor of classical Hollywood and Disney princesses. The Peignoirs are made with faux fur and silk materials. These collections pay homage to leading ladies throughout history.
Visiting China will help Florentyna reduce the costs for wholesale. She is also passionate about meeting manufacturers and forming relationships which she feels is vital to her business success. She hopes to expand the brand by introducing lingerie, pyjamas and sportswear.
Florentyna dreams of the high life, she is particularly driven and money focused and hopes to someday have her very own empire. She doesn't want to be a local designer, she wants global success.
